TAPEWORM CONTROL Price is per tablet. Composition: Praziquantel 50 mg. Indications: Control of tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis, T. ovis, T. hydatigena and Spirometra erinacei) in dogs and cats, and the hydatid tapeworm (Echinococcus granulosus) in dogs. Due to the nature of praziquantel, some cats may salivate after treatment. Dosage and Administration: Weigh animal before treatment. Administer 1 tablet/10 kg bodyweight. If the animal is still passing segments after the above treatment, these segments probably belong to a little known tapeworm, Spirometra erinacei, which belongs to a different family. It will be removed by giving 1 tablet/2.5 kg bodyweight. Hydatid tapeworm in dogs: Treat every six weeks; dogs should not be allowed to feed on offal from any species. Other tapeworms. Treat every three months, and treat pet regularly for fleas. Pregnant bitches, queens. Treat prior to mating, ten days prior to and four weeks after birth, and then every three months.
